Choosing Your First Wig: Where to Begin

Your first wig is an investment in confidence. Start by understanding three key factors: your lifestyle needs, your desired look, and your budget. Human hair wigs offer the most natural look and styling versatility (lasting 1-2 years with proper care), while synthetic wigs are more affordable and low-maintenance (lasting 4-6 months).

Cap Type:Lace front for natural hairline, full lace for updo versatility
Hair Type:Human hair for premium realism, heat-friendly synthetic for affordability
Budget:Entry-level synthetics from $50, premium human hair from $500+

How to Measure Your Head for a Perfect Wig Fit

1
Measure Circumference
Wrap a soft measuring tape around your hairline: from front hairline, behind ears, to nape of neck. Record in inches.
2
Measure Front to Nape
From your front hairline, over the top of your head, to the nape. This determines cap depth.
3
Measure Ear to Ear
Across your forehead from ear to ear (front). Then over the top of your head from ear to ear (top).
4
Measure Temple to Temple
Across the back of your head, temple to temple around the nape.
5
Compare to Size Chart
Average: 21.5in / Small: 21in / Large: 22.5in. WigBloom offers petite, average, and large sizes.
